PORTLAND, Ore. – Lagunitas Community Taproom closed unexpectedly last week, forcing organizers of dozens of scheduled events to search for new venues.

The Mental Health and Addiction Association of Oregon was one organization that was planning to hold an event in the space. The taproom closed only days before an event that organizers say took a year to plan.

“We were expecting up to 200 people. We had food and dessert and all the things, you know, donated. So, we had community partners ready to go. Didn’t want to put out the announcement unless it was a, you know, have-to thing and we couldn’t find another space in time. So, we put out the announcement that we were postponing it until January,” said Janie Gullickson, executive director of the Mental Health and Addiction Association of Oregon.

Please stay tuned for information on the upcoming fundraiser.
We hope to announce the new venue and date in the next few weeks!
