Development and Communications Coordinator
Kaity has lived experience with mental health challenges and is passionate about eliminating the stigma surrounding the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness, increasing access to treatment, and educating the public on how to provide support for these individuals.
Before joining our team, Kaity spent the last three years at a technology startup committed to finding software solutions for mental health and addiction treatment facilities. While there, she learned the ins and outs of behavioral health medical billing, as well as the institutional challenges that are faced both by care providers and those seeking treatment. Kaity is currently completing her Master’s in Public Administration with a specialization in Nonprofit Management at Portland State University. After she completes her degree, she will continue her work on mental health access issues and hopes to open her own barrier-free nonprofit counseling center with her wife, specifically catering to the needs of LGBTQ+ youth.
